2020 Jeep Gladiator

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Delivers the Ultimate Combination of Work and Play

It's been a while since we last had a Jeep brand pickup truck. The Jeep Comanche left the market nearly three decades ago and we've been waiting for its replacement ever since. Well, that wait is finally over and it's paid off in a big way, as the Jeep Gladiator enters the mid-size truck segment for the 2020 model year. It already has competitors on their heels, thanks to class-leading towing capability and the legendary off-road capability that only a Jeep brand vehicle can claim.

The Strength of a Gladiator: Unmatched Off-Road Ability

Many models in the mid-size truck segment have an off-road focused variant, but with the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, true off-road capability isn't relegated to a special trim level. A high-mounted air intake and special water sealing allow Gladiator to ford water crossings up to 30-inches deep; and with at least 10 inches of ground clearance, it passes over trail obstacles with ease. Equipped with Dana 44 axles, skid plates, and tow hooks as standard equipment, the Gladiator is the only pickup truck to receive Trail Rated certification.

Rubicon

While it doesn't need a special trim level to outperform its competitors on the trail, the rough and ready Rubicon tier comes equipped to take the Gladiator's already prodigious prowess to new heights. Rubicon features include:

  • Tru-Lok® electronic locking front and rear differentials
  •
  • Rock-Trac® 4x4 system with 4:1 low-gear ratio and 84:1 crawl ratio
  •
  • Segment-exclusive electronic front sway bar disconnect
  •
  • Rock rails
  •
  • 11.1-inches of ground clearance
  •
  • FOX brand aluminum-bodied 2-inch-diameter shocks
  •
  • 33-inch all-terrain tires
  •
  • And more…

True Truck Capability

Gladiator isn't only about playing on the trails. It's a hard-working pickup that brings real towing and hauling capability to Morrilton and Heber Springs. Powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, Gladiator boasts a class-leading (mid-size pickups) tow rating of 7,650 pounds when properly equipped.

Features and Technology

Lest you think this pickup is all brawn, Gladiator comes well equipped with a long list features across four trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. The available Uconnect 4C NAV infotainment system includes smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an advanced navigation system. It's controlled by buttons on the steering wheel, intuitive voice commands, or via the 8.4-inch touchscreen display.

SiriusXM Guardian gives you remote access to your Gladiator wherever there's an internet connection, allowing you to start the engine, adjust climate controls, lock and unlock the doors, activate the horn and lights, connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot, find your vehicle in a crowded parking lot, and more. There's even an Alexa skill, so you can control it through your Alexa-enabled device.
